Hello swim families!

(It’s a late weekly update… but here it is!)

This week’s practice schedule will be the same as we get ready for the last meet of 2022! Last week’s Jingle Jam was great. Our high school team scored 5th out of the 13 teams in attendance, while our middle school came in 3rd. Our combined teams came in 3rd out of the 13 total teams in attendance.

This week we will split the middle and high school teams for meets. I will send specifics for each meet later in the week as we get the details, so be sure to watch for that.

In brief, the middle school teams will attend the Candy Cane Meet at Frances Meadows in the morning, while the high school team will attend the Lakeside Invitational in Chamblee in the afternoon.

Our high school students will also have an additional opportunity for some community service this week. On Wednesday, we have been invited to come and open doors and greet elementary students as a team at Friendship Elementary School (4450 Friendship Rd., Buford, GA 30519).

I’d love to have as many helpers as possible!

This duty would be between 7 - 8 AM on Wednesday and leave plenty of time for students to get to school from there. Students should arrive at the elementary school at around 7 am and park in the main parking lot. Please wear your warm-up hoodie and/or letter jacket and bring a great attitude.

Please RSVP to Coach Goodwin by Tuesday evening if you are coming. I need AT LEAST 10 swimmers there in the morning to help! The more, the merrier!!
