Science Update - Fall Break Practice Info and Meet Signups
Hello swim families!
This week's swim update is coming a little earlier than normal with the Fall Break coming up. My family and I will be traveling out of town, so I might not be as reachable over the Break. If you have questions please reach out via GroupMe and some of our board members may be able to answer your questions or via email to [email protected] or Coach Smith at [email protected].
It has been an excellent first week back in the pool! I know the kids have been tired, but they've had a great attitude in the water and really want to get after it, so we're really proud of them!
Next week's schedule is going to be a bit different than normal with the Break.
Our practice schedule will be:
Wednesday, October 18 - 5-6:30 pm YMCA (optional)
Thursday, October 19th 6 - 7 AM YMCA
**Both practices are for all levels of swimmers. If you can't make it, don't worry about it, but DO please try to have your swimmer do at least 30 minutes of cardio/strength training per day (this can just be going for a jog, burpees, pushups, etc. with body weight) over the Break. One of the main areas that our team is struggling with right now is cardio endurance and the strength to push through these practices. Getting back into good condition is key!
We want them to be in prime shape as our first meet is coming up soon! Meet signups are now open. Please complete your swimmers meet sign up ASAP on our homepage.
