Hello everyone! 

I appreciate your patience as we waited for updates about the incoming weather for start and report times for this weekend. 

MIDDLE SCHOOL SWIMMERS: 

Your meet will be at Frances Meadows this weekend. Swimmers should report and check in NO LATER THAN 9 AM with Coach Smith. The swimmers will sit in our typical area and should come prepared for the meet with towels, caps, and goggles. 

The meet is scheduled to begin at 10:20 AM and should conclude by 1:30 PM. This is only a middle school meet, so the events will be much quicker, and there will be a little turnaround in competition times. It will be very important that your swimmer is paying attention and available when it is their opportunity to swim. Missing an event means that they won't be able to make up the event, and they may be disqualified from future events. The standings are super close between our team and a couple of others to take home the championship trophy, so we need everyone to show up with their game faces on and parents ready to cheer loudly!!! 

We'd love to take home Middle School Championship trophies two weeks in a row! 

VARSITY SWIMMERS: 

We are going to be traveling FAR to Atlanta to Woodward Academy with our last training meet and state qualifier before the Hall County Championships next weekend. As of now, the timeline is the same and the meet is still on, but poor weather this afternoon MAY affect this. Be sure to check GroupMe and announcements later tonight to ensure that these plans are still the same! 

Our start time and warm-up time are earlier than normal, so it will be an early morning of leaving as well. I need all swimmers at CBHS ready to get on the bus at 6 AM. We will need to leave no later than 6:10 AM in order to make our warm-up time of 7:30 AM. Your swimmer is encouraged to bring a blanket/travel pillow for the ride, as it is likely to be VERY cold in the morning, and they can lie back down on the drive if they'd like and get some additional rest. 

Right now, the timeline is through 1 pm. We will go to a nearby Chick-fil-A to grab some lunch before heading home after the meet, so please be sure that your swimmer has money for this.  I expect that we will be back to school around 3 PM.
