Hello CB Swim Families!

I hope that you are all doing well! We are incredibly proud of the fantastic season we’ve had this year and can’t wait to celebrate with each of you!

We’ve got some important dates coming up in the next couple of weeks, so please be sure to get your RSVPs in as soon as possible!

MARCH 5th - MIDDLE SCHOOL TOP GOLF CHAMPIONSHIP CELEBRATION:

Our middle school team did an awesome job and brought home our first-ever Middle School Championship win after a long season with much hard work. We want to celebrate them by taking them to Top Golf for the afternoon.

We will leave directly after school at 3:45 pm and travel via bus to Top Golf Buford. The students can participate from 4:30 - 6:30 pm, and we’ve secured four bays. We will have a light supper (snack foods and drinks). You may pick up your child at Top Golf at 6:30, or we will travel back to the school via bus, and you can pick them up at the middle school!

We MUST turn in a Head Count as soon as possible on this, so please RSVP using the SwimTopia App no later than Wednesday, February 21st at 5:00 pm.

March 10th - AWARDS BANQUET (2 - 4 pm):

On Sunday, March 10th, we will have our annual awards banquet to honor our middle and high school swimmers. This will take place at Cherokee Bluff Middle School in the Cafeteria. Desserts and coffee will be served,, and we look forward to fellowshipping and celebrating a fantastic season.

One of THE most important awards at the banquet is our BEAR Award. This is an award that swimmers choose. This award doesn’t always reflect the one you see on the awards podium the most, but instead, the one that has the heart/leadership that we expect as the exemplar of a BEAR swimmer.

The Description reads:

The ideal BEAR swimmer is someone who demonstrates both in the water and out of the water:

• - inner strength
• - confidence
• - leadership (through both words and actions)
• - willingness to help others
• - kindness
• - inspires respect
• - fearlessness
• - family

Each swimmer gets ONE opportunity to vote for a varsity and middle school Boy and Girl that they think best represents this award.
