South Hall Community Interest Meeting

Hi,

I wanted to share some information with you regarding an upcoming meeting that will be held on February 5th at the Spout Springs Library. Please read below for a letter a Flowery Branch Swim Parent has asked me to share.

Swim Parents,

The Hall County Government is holding a public input meeting for the new park and active life center in South Hall, located at 6827 Spout Springs Road, on February 5 at 5:30 p.m. at Spout Springs Library, 6488 Spout Springs Rd.

It would benefit the students of the high schools in South Hall to encourage Hall County to build a 10-lane competitive swimming pool with seating for spectators so that meets could be held there.

Right now, students and coaches drive to the YMCA in Gainesville for early morning or evening practices. A pool closer to these south hall schools would benefit these students and coaches.

Hall County Elementary students often travel to the YMCA for swimming lessons during the school day. These lessons are invaluable for children's safety. A pool in the south hall area would allow more students to participate in water safety and swim lessons.

We ask your swim teams and families to show up with swim team spirit wear on Wednesday to let Hall County know what is needed in the community.

If you cannot attend the in-person meeting on Wednesday, please complete the attached survey so your needs can be heard.

I couldn't agree more with the sentiments here. A pool would be a valuable addition to our South Hall community, allowing even more students to gain swimming skills. I would love to see a group of us show up in Cherokee Bluff purple to make our voices heard! If you cannot attend but would like to voice your opinion on this and any other matters related to this South Hall community center, please feel free to complete the following survey.
