Weekly Update 2.2.25 - STATE MEET EDITION
Hi CB Swim Families!
It's the last official week of swim season, and we're concluding it at the state meet this week! This will be our seventh consecutive season attending the state meet (that's every year of CB existence, if you're counting), and we've made it to the finals every year so far. I don't expect this season to be any different!
Our state team has been putting in a lot of work, and we will be competing in the following events:
- Boys 200 Medley Relay
- Girls 200 Medley Relay
- Boys 200 Freestyle - Jeff Wall
- Boys 500 Freestyle - Jeff Wall
- Boys 200 Free Relay
- Girls 200 Free Relay
- Boys 400 Free Relay
- Girls 400 Free Relay
That is an incredible day of swimming! The state meet will be held over two days in Atlanta at the Georgia Tech pool initially constructed for the 1996 Olympics. Preliminaries will be on Wednesday, February 5th, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. The top 20 teams/individuals will be back for finals on Thursday, February 6th, from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. You can attend if you'd like or watch from home using the NFHS streaming service (there is a small cost to watch).
