Hello CB Swim Families! 

We continue to have one of the best seasons yet, and I'm so proud of the progress we've seen. This weekend was a great weekend of PRs - especially for some of our middle school swimmers, and their hard work over the past few weeks is really showing off! 

Middle School students will have a break from competition this weekend, but NOT practice! We look forward to seeing you all for regularly scheduled practices each day this week. 

Some important upcoming events and dates to note... 

1. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13th - Varsity swimmers will be traveling to West Gwinnett Aquatic Center to compete in a tri-meet vs. North Gwinnett and Meadowcreek HS. 

Entries are open, so please sign up by Tuesday, December 9th. 

We NEED volunteers for this one! We must bring four timers (with stopwatches) and 1 runner. This should be a quicker meet, so please sign up for these roles. We can't have the meet without you! 

2. MONDAY, DECEMBER 15th - All EVENING practices CANCELED 

This is the holiday Chorus concert night. We have several team members who are also in the chorus, so because of this conflict, we will plan to cancel for the night. We'd love to see everyone out supporting your teammates if possible! 

(Side note: The band concert - which we have several members involved with - is Tuesday, December 9th - so try to get out and support your band swimmers as well!)

3. THURSDAY, DECEMBER 18th - HS Christmas Party

We will have a small get-together for our HS swimmers on Thursday, December 18th, at Coach Goodwin's house. Please have them bring an appetizer or dessert to share and a small white elephant gift (max cost $15!). We don't have a lot of parking space, so you are welcome to drop off your swimmer at the start at 6 PM and pick up at 8 PM. If your swimmer is a driver, but can carpool, it is recommended!

4. SATURDAY, DECEMBER 20th - Brave Bear Invitational Meet

This will be our last meet for the 2025 season. We host this meet, and it is a very significant meet for our team. A portion of the proceeds from this meet will go towards the Jack Lowe Brave Bear Scholarship Fund, a scholarship fund supported by the CB Swim Team. Jack was a swimmer on our team who passed away due to Ewing's Sarcoma in January 2024.

Entries are now open and must be completed by Saturday, December 14th, at 5 PM. 

We will need several volunteers to serve as timers for this meet as well, so be sure to look at the jobs sign-up. This is open to both middle and high school students, so we hope all our team members can attend!

Saturday, January 10th - Tallulah Falls Meet (6 PM - 10 PM) - this is an evening meet open to all swimmers 

Saturday, January 17th - HALL COUNTY CHAMPIONSHIPS!!! 

This is a VERY important meet, and ALL swimmers are EXPECTED to attend. Be sure to mark your calendars for this date!
