Meet Information - 1.17.26

Hello everyone!

I can't believe it, but championships are finally here! The kids have been working hard all season, and now it's time to get out there and show how much they've improved since those early October practices.

The bus will be leaving at 8:15 AM tomorrow morning from the Cherokee Bluff Cafe parking lot as usual. Your swimmer should plan to stay AND CHEER for the entire meet and the final awards. You may check your swimmer out at the conclusion of the meet. There will also be a bus back to the school after the meet and awards ceremony.

Tomorrow will be a longer day than usual, so come prepared with lunch/snacks for yourself and your family. The swimmers will have a food table located in the lobby as usual. Thank you to everyone who has donated throughout the season to make sure that our kids stay fueled up at every meet.

In addition to our normal timeline, the plan is to stop and present awards every 3-5 events. Event awards will be announced and presented on the deck near where our swimmers normally sit. Please note: Even if your swimmer is being awarded, NO PARENTS are allowed on the deck during the meet unless they are timing. This is to make sure that all our swimmers stay safe during the meet.

The stands will be crowded with lots of aunts, uncles, grandparents, and second first cousins twice removed, all showing up for this one! I highly suggest arriving early to get a better choice of seat if it matters to you. There will be NO seating for parents in the vestibule lobby area for this meet. Instead, plan to take a minute to walk through and see our tables honoring our senior swimmers from across the county. There will also be a booth in the lobby where your swimmer can order a custom t-shirt or hoodie, if you'd like. These typically run between $30 and $70, depending on the style and customization.

We will honor all our senior swimmers in the county beginning at 10 AM, with the meet starting immediately after this. The meet timeline is scheduled to conclude between 3:30 - 4 PM and I expect all awards, etc. to be completed around 4:30 PM.

We hope that you're excited to be there tomorrow! Wear your purple and be ready to cheer LOUDLY throughout the meet! We need EVERYONE bringing the spirit to help encourage our swimmers in what will be our toughest competition yet! Every swim, every time drop, and every time they outtouch someone at the wall MATTERS.

Make sure your swimmer has some good fuel tonight, a good night's rest, and is well hydrated coming into tomorrow morning!

GO BEARS!
